Boardroom Readiness

Prepare to take your seat at the table

1 h
6 Week Programme

Service Description

Board Ready is designed for women who are interested in taking their experience into the boardroom but aren't sure where to begin, how to position themselves or what organisations are looking for. Whether you're considering your first Non-Executive Director (NED), trustee or board position, the programme will help you understand the board landscape, recognise the value you can bring and prepare yourself to pursue the right opportunities with greater confidence. Together, you'll explore: • Understanding boards — develop a clearer understanding of how boards operate, different types of board roles and what is expected of board members. • Your board proposition — identify the skills, experience, perspective and leadership qualities you could bring to a board. • Your Board CV & LinkedIn — strengthen how you present your experience and position yourself for board-level opportunities. • Finding opportunities — understand where to look for board, trustee and NED positions and how to identify opportunities that fit your experience and ambitions. • Applications — learn how to communicate your value clearly and tailor your approach to the organisation and role. • Interview preparation — prepare to discuss your experience, motivation, judgement and the contribution you could make around the board table. • Preparing for your first role — understand what to expect when you secure an appointment and how to approach your first 100 days. What will you take away? You'll leave with a clearer understanding of the board landscape, greater confidence in what you can offer, stronger professional positioning and a practical approach to finding and pursuing suitable opportunities. You already have experience. Board Ready helps you understand how to take that experience to the table.
